What this tool does

Merge PDF joins two or more PDF files into a single document. Add your files, put them in the order you want with the arrow buttons, and download one combined PDF. Typical uses are assembling a report from separate chapters, bundling a scanned contract with its annexes, or collecting invoices and receipts into one file before sending them.

The merge happens on your device. Each file is read in your browser, its pages are copied into a new document by a background worker, and the result is saved straight back to your computer. A progress bar shows how far along the job is and you can cancel at any time.

Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and images are not recompressed. Document-level extras such as bookmarks, form fields and the original metadata of the individual files are not carried into the merged file.

How to use it

  1. 1Add two or more PDF files by dragging them onto the drop area or choosing them from your device.
  2. 2Check the file list. Use the up and down arrows to change the order, or the X button to remove a file.
  3. 3Optionally change the name of the output file.
  4. 4Press Merge PDF and wait for the progress bar to finish.
  5. 5Download the merged PDF, or go back to editing to adjust the list and merge again.

Supported formats

Input: PDF files (.pdf), password-free. Output: one PDF.

Privacy

This tool runs in your browser. The data you provide is processed on your device and is not sent to our servers.

Limitations

  • Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged. Remove the password first, then add the file again.
  • Bookmarks, form fields, tags and document metadata of the source files are not kept; only the page content is combined.
  • Very large files or many large files can exhaust your browser's memory, especially on phones. If that happens, merge in smaller groups.
  • The number of files per merge and the size per file are limited; the limits are shown on the page.

FAQ

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The files are read and combined inside your browser and the result is generated locally, so nothing is sent anywhere.

Will merging reduce the quality?

No. Pages are copied without being re-rendered or recompressed, so the content looks the same as in the originals.

Can I merge the same file twice?

Adding the very same file twice is skipped to avoid accidents. If you really want a page set twice, make a copy of the file with a different name first.

Why did my file get rejected?

Common reasons are a password-protected PDF, a damaged or truncated file, an empty file, or a file above the size limit. The message tells you which file and why.
