Email Signature Generator
Build a clean, table-based HTML email signature with photo, contact details and social links. Live preview, copy as HTML or rich text, download.
Processed locally in your browser. Your text is not uploaded.
What this tool does
Fill in your name, role, company, contact details and social links, choose a template and accent colour, and get a ready-to-use HTML signature. The markup is table-based with inline styles only, the approach that renders most consistently across Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail, which each handle modern CSS differently.
The preview runs in a sandboxed frame, so what you see is the real output. Copy the HTML source, copy it as rich text to paste straight into a mail client’s signature editor (where your browser supports it), or download a standalone .html file. A photo can be uploaded (it is shrunk to 160 px and embedded in the HTML) or linked from an https address.
Everything you type is HTML-escaped, and links are restricted to http, https, mailto and tel, so a pasted value cannot inject scripts or hijack a link. All of it happens in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
How to use it
- 1Enter your details. Use Insert example to see a filled-in signature.
- 2Add social profile links and, optionally, a photo (upload or https URL).
- 3Choose a template and an accent colour. Four templates are available.
- 4Check the preview, then copy as rich text or HTML, or download the .html file.
- 5Paste it into your mail client’s signature settings and send yourself a test email.
Supported formats
Output: HTML fragment (table-based, inline CSS) and a standalone .html file. Photo upload: PNG, JPG, WebP.
Privacy
This tool runs in your browser. The data you provide is processed on your device and is not sent to our servers.
Limitations
- Email clients differ. Gmail, for example, strips embedded (data URI) images in signatures; use an https image URL there. Always send a test message.
- Embedded photos make the HTML larger. Photos are resized to 160 px, but some clients still block or clip large inline images.
- Some clients paste rich text but ignore parts of the formatting. Fall back to copying the HTML source if that happens.
- Dark-mode mail apps may recolour text. Plain, high-contrast colours are most resilient.
- Text-only settings are not saved between visits yet.
FAQ
How do I install the signature in Gmail or Outlook?
Use Copy as rich text, open your mail client’s signature settings, and paste into the signature box. If rich paste is unavailable, open the downloaded .html file in a browser, select everything and copy it from there.
Why are tables used instead of modern CSS?
Many mail clients, notably Outlook on Windows, support only a small part of CSS. Nested tables with inline styles are the dependable way to control layout.
Is it safe to paste links I did not type?
Links are checked. Only http, https, mailto and tel are allowed, and javascript: or data: links are dropped with a warning. All text is escaped.
Which photo method is better?
A hosted https URL keeps the signature small and works in Gmail. An uploaded photo is embedded in the HTML, which suits clients that accept inline images.
Which templates are available?
Classic, Minimal, Modern and Banner.
